Have stayed here for many years when in Gorham. Hotel is pretty basic, but the rooms are huge with two beds that appeared to be king size in our room. No breakfast, and no coffee machine in room, but coffee provided in lobby and was always ready by 5:00 a.m. Hotel has an outdoor pool, which was cold but guest may also use the indoor pool in the health club next door which is very large with lap lanes about 40 yards long. Easy walk to Mr. Pizza, which despite name is an all around very good restaurant with a full menu and daily specials which are a very good deal. Hotel has plenty of parking and is located right in the middle of town.
We have always had a great stay at the Royalty. The rooms are neat and spotless. The staff, especially Yvette is very friendly in fact she made this years the best of the last seven times we have stayed at the Royalty. When I reserved the room I asked for the first floor unknowing that there were rooms without a patio. Once we realized this we asked Yvette if we could change rooms with the understanding at the time they had no vacancy’s and within 5 minutes we had the room we wanted. I would highly recommend this Inn to all travelers.
Room Tip: Ask for a room with a patio if you want to sit outside.
Spent 3 days here as the local Mopar club (New England Mopar Club) were hosting it’s annual Mt Washington ride. This was our 2nd time at this hotel and were once again happy with the place. Great location for some scenic drives around the area, which we did a few of over the 3 days.
Another well cared for hotel/motel with helpful friendly staff. Arrived to check in while it was pouring rain (traveling by motorcycle) and found out we were assigned to a room across the parking lot in another wing with an exterior room entrance. Mentioned to staff it would be nice to unload the bike under the canopy and was it possible to get to our room via indoor hallways. Staff explained it wasn’t possible but they changed our room in a flash to one with an interior corridor so we could unload under the canopy out of the rain, a small gesture that went a long way for us.
The room was very large and well appointed. My only complaint was finding out the plugs I used to charge some of our mobile electronics were linked to the light switches and when I turned out the lights that night none of our stuff charged.
Used the guest laundry room and it was clean and the machines worked well. Wifi was excellent also.
I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to a friend.
After just spending three nights at the Royalty Inn we felt we needed to write a review. This motel is AWESOME! This was our sixth year staying here and we would not stay anywhere else. The motel is very clean (and we are picky) and the staff is wonderful (especially Yvette and Bud!). We are already counting the days until we can go again. We were told they are renovating the indoor pool, can’t wait to see the finished product! Thank you to all at the Royalty Inn that helped make our family vacation wonderful!!!
My husband and I take a yearly vacation with our young grandchildren. This year money is rather tight and the number of grandchildren grew by two. We decided to settle for a mini vacation but needed to find a place that would accommodate four adults, three children and a newborn. I am a bit of a hotel snob. I abhor a place that is shabby and unkempt. I read the reviews and checked out the Royalty Inn website. Their price seemed really low and through price line the cost was even lowered. I was very nervous about this deal since other places in the area were charging so much more and would not let us share one room. Opening the door to our room I was amazed at how big the room was. Our room had two beds which were suppose to be queen sized but other family members felt they were more like full size. There was more than enough room to put an air mattress on the floor for the children plus put the porta crib between the beds. The hotel was fairly full yet noise was not an issue at all. Best of all the room was immaculate. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool. We used the indoor pool and it too was quite clean. Our destination of Santa’s Village was no more than 30 minutes away.
The only complaints we had are not really complaints. Our room was only stocked with a few bath towels which were a bit small and thin. On our second day housekeeping left us extra towels without us even asking. Very thoughtful! The only issue we really had was that while we were at the indoor pool a large group of people thought it would be great to party in front of our room. The party was short as they were gone when we returned but they left beer bottles and other trash right in front of our area. My son in law bumped into one of the culprits when they were gearing up for round two. They were polite and agreed to party across the parking lot. I can not blame the hotel for their behavior though.
Any further trips we take to New Hampshire will be easier to plan since I will be sure to rebook this hotel.
Great place to stay, check in was quick and efficient, staff friendly and courteous. Room was spacious and comfortable. the fitness center is excellent and free for hotel guests, they have racquetball courts and a 5 ft swimming pool and hot tub with locker facilities. Had a great and relaxing stay while visiting Mt. Washington and the numerous waterfalls that are around. Would highly recommend this place to folks visiting.
This was the second time we’ve stayed at the royalty inn in the past couple years. The rooms are clean, especially the bathrooms. You cannot find a cleaner hotel with better prices in Gorham. There are a few that are cheaper but they are not even close to this place’s standards. You also have free access to their indoor pool and hot tub in an adjacent building, which was also very clean and wonderful after a long day hiking!
I stayed at the Royalty Inn when on a bike trip during foliage. I found the room to be very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The check in was very quick and the staff very friendly, courteous and helpful with all of my needs. I would recommend the Royalty inn to anyone looking for a great place to stay when in Gorham.
