The unofficial start to summer, Memorial Day weekend, is now underway and most of the White Mountain attractions have opened their doors for the season. The Royalty Inn has just welcomed the first families participating in the special Story Land / Santa’s Village family packages. Nearby Wildcat begins operating the zip-line and scenic gondola rides. New this season at the Royalty Inn is the Wildcat Mountain Adventure package which includes both a zip-line experience and gondola ride packaged into your room rate.
The Mount Washington Auto Road opens to the tree-line today. There is still too much snow on the upper road to reach the summit by car. This is good news for the skiers whom are enjoying great snow conditions in Tuckerman’s Ravine. Our special Tuckerman’s Ravine package is still available through May 31st.
The big story and biggest draw for the Royalty Inn this weekend has been the opening of Jericho Mountain Park for ATVs. Gorham is one of two towns that allows ATVs to use the highway and public roads to access the park. The Royalty Inn’s spacious parking area is ideal for guests to leave trailers at the hotel and have direct access to the trails via Route 2. ATV riders can now enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool as the Royalty Inn’s outdoor swimming pool is also ready to go and is in the process of being heated up. Of course, the indoor pool is also available to guests that seek out warmer waters and a Jacuzzi.
What ever your summer pleasure may be, the attractions in the White Mountains are now open for business and the Royalty Inn awaits as your home base for all of the White Mountain adventures that you choose to experience. We look forward to your visit!
